Factors involving Personality
Development
In today's world academic knowledge alone is not sufficient
to grow and excel in life. A lot of other factors need to be
taken care of before we go ahead. We see such things on a
regular basis. Today it is no longer possible to get a job
or an admission just on the basis of an entrance test. Each
of these processes is followed by either a Group Discussion
or a Personal Interview, or both. This is clear that we not
only have to be technically and academically sound but also
on other personality fronts. Personality is not what can be
improved in a day's or week's or month's time. Remember,
personality development is a continuous process.
CONCEPT OF PERSONALITY STYLE
It is said that 20% of person’s professional success is
generated by task-related skills, and 80% is a function of
people skills – how well the worker gets along with others.
If this is true, and personal experience generally supports
these numbers, then improving interpersonal skills directly
contributes to professional success. You have probably
been using at least some of the principles of personality
style without knowing it. But we’ll begin with the basics:
- Style develops over time
- Style is described in validated models
- Style explains some personal differences
- Every style has strengths and weaknesses

a successful individuals work with people and not on them.
They work smart and not hard. They make friends and retain
them. These people would always reach the top and stay
there, and finally always have a positive attitude towards
